RAIN PERIOD

The FCG has its own measurement of the local rainfall index, since 2005 in several rain gauges allocated in plots distributed throughout the property and collected daily in the event of rain.

The average rate of the last 15 years is approximately 1,200 mm/year, well distributed mainly between the months of November (beginning of planting) until May (end of harvest), leaving to the other months from June to October,  a very dry period. Even with the restricted period of rain, it is not uncommon to plant a second crop (safrinha) in about 5 to 20% of the total area with crops of corn, beans, millet and/or sorghum.
